I'll tell you what, the pumpkin patch was an AWESOME way to start out our year, as far as field trips go! The weather (barely) held out for us, and we had a great day together!
I loved getting to start out with some fun playtime on the playground. This group of kids plays so well together, so it was great to just hang out and fool around with them! Then we took the dusty hay ride down to the patch where the kids found their pumpkins in what must have been record time. We got big ones and tiny ones, orange ones and green ones...quite a variety! After picking our perfect pumpkins and a few photo ops, we headed in for some cider, donuts, and lunch. While we were eating the wind picked up and the rain came pouring down, cutting our fun a little short. But it was an awesome trip, nonetheless, and I deem it a complete success!
Thank you to all of our chaperones and drivers! We couldn't have done it without you! Not to mention that we loved getting to have you in on all of the fun with us :)

Halloween was yet another awesome and special day for the Kinder Crew! It was mighty ziggle-zaggle, but boy did we have a good time!
We started out our day with a parade! This is always one of my favorite parts of Halloween at CKS. We get to see everyone else's costume--I love seeing the funny and creative ideas the kids (or parents, really) have. After circling the gym, we got to go around the 5 Sisters with our Big Buddies. It is always nice to see the people in the neighborhood who remember to come see us parade each year.

Of course, you can't go on a Halloween march without trick-or-treating!
During Catholic School's Week in February, we always do a school-wide BINGO tournament. I like to get the kids practicing early, so we played a little Halloween BINGO!
We also had an awesome Halloween party! Not only did we have some delicious treats, we also got to play Ghost Bowling (with gourd bowling balls, of course), listen to Halloween music, and do an adorable Monster Puppet craft! Unfortunately, I forgot to grab my camera during the crafting part of the afternoon, but I did get a great "after" shot of their puppets hanging up on our Ship Shape Work Board!
The Kinder Crew hopes your Halloween was as Spooktacular as ours was!
